I might go back to this in the future, but just in case i dont, ill go ahead and post :) This time around i tried to really focus on composition and keeping my values and colors fairly restricted. I can feel myself slowly learning more and more, so thats good.

I must have let this one slip by, but luckily spotted it again in your galley.
The lighting is amazingly well done and what has happened is that the color stands out more than it would in a 'colorful' picture. Much like in a house or on a character, staying subtle then throwing in a feature color really adds a more dynamic feel and brings that single color out nicely.

I really like this, the environment feels rich in atmosphere and you have captured just enough detail for my imagination to make out the rest :)

Thanks for the kind words Reganov, Im glad you enjoyed it. I have a feeling my work tends to often slip by unnoticed....just dont let it happen again! :p

Slipping through the cracks is quite easy here, this community is more saturated than the App store.
If you really want more eyes on you, just do an epic fan art of something popular here, that normal people could never achieve. I guess that also depends on what sort of eyes you want watching you haha

i could tell at first glance that the colors were meant to be held back in this one! it's something i've always struggled with doing... i like the soft light effect you achieved with this piece. It's really telling a story. :)

Thanks! I feel like im slowly learning that theres alot of power in what you leave out of a painting, clarity and simplicity seem to really be helping me.
